Here is the original post that was posted yesterday:

For over the past 30 years I have preformed 1000's of mammograms. I've been there to comfort women (and men) when they were scared and confused. I've held their hands during biopsies and prayed that all would have good results, but as we all know, this isn't always the case. I pray for a day when we find a cure for not just breast cancer, but all cancer. So, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, I made this card using the Snow Globe Shaker Domes.

WOW....Over 1700 comments or likes. I've had such an overwhelming out pouring of love over this card when I posted it on the Stampin'Up! Demonstrator Website. I feel so blessed to be part of this community! Thank you all for you kind words and willingness to share your stories. All of you are amazing women and all of you are in my prayers. I will do my best to show you how I made this card and hope it inspires you to make one too!

To make this card you'll need:

Snow Globe Scenes Dies
Hold to Hope stamp set
Subtle embossing folder
Two 2 1/2" circles (either punched or die cut) and a 3/4" x 4 1/2" strip (may need trimmed down)
Lovely Lipstick cardstock base: 4 3/4" x 6 1/4" plus a small piece for behind greeting
Whisper White cardstock: 4 1/2"x 9" score at 4 1/2" This is the part of the card that opens.
Petal Pink cardstock: 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" (may need trimmed slightly) plus a piece to cover behind domes and a piece for the greeting.
Black 3/8" Scalloped Edge Ribbon
Lovely Lipstick 1/8" ribbon and a small brad
Glue dots

Cut the two Snow Globe Dome openings on the Petal Pink cardstock leaving about 1/2" between the domes in the middle. (Sorry, I can't show you this step by step as I borrowed the Snow Globe Scenes Dies from a friend and have already returned them.)
Adhere the Snow Globe Domes inside the die cut holes. Cut around the edges of the snow globes to create a "waist". I did cut off a little bit of the snow globe adhesive edges on the sides. Adhere a piece of Petal Pink cardstock behind the dome openings. This piece can now be added to the front of the folded Whisper White card, then to the Lovely Lipstick matte.

To create the Bra:
Cut the 2 1/2" circles like in the picture.
Lay the two cut circles and strip on the domes to get an idea of placement. Adhere the two cut circles to the 3/4" strip. I used white card stock to give you an idea of how it should look. You may need to trim a little of the strip off the strip.
I had several requests for the direction on how to make this card, but I'm not that good at making clear instructions, so here goes....

These will just be general instructions, I'll let you pick card stock colors and DSP.

Card base: 4 1/4" x 11" score at 2 3/4" x 5 1/2"

Top card: 3 1/2" x 9" score at 4 1/2" (You can also make this section a little smaller to give you more room on the front if you want to tuck the top card under a punched embellishment, just adjust the DSP and white Vanilla pieces.) You will need two pieces of white or vanilla CS 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" to place on the inside and outside of this top card piece.

Middle section of card base White or Vanilla CS 2 1/2" x 4"

First section of case base: DSP 2 1/2" x 4"

DSP for gift holder 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" punched at the top with a 2 1/2" circle punch.

DSP strip for inside top card (below the middle stamped area) 1 x 3 1/4"

Fold card base on the score line, creating a z fold. Fold top card in half and adhere to the largest section on the base piece. Add white or vanilla stamped pieces to the front and inside. Add DSP strip to the middle section. Decorate/stamp front of card as desired.

Hope this make since, if not let me know.

Smiles,

Do you love interactive cards? Well, check this out! New for the 2019 Holiday season is the Still Scenes bundle. Add the Snow Globe Shaker Domes and snowflake sequins to this bundle and you've a got a winner. This is my first attempt, so the water level is a little low, but the domes are super sticky so once you've sealed it with a clear window sheet there's not adding any more water. Oh well, it's still so much fun to shake around and see all the pretty shimmer floating around.

Here's what I used to make this card:
Still Scenes stamp set and dies
Snow Globe Domes
Snowflake Sequins
Wrapped in Plaid 6x6 DSP
Gold Foil paper
Gold Embossing Powder
Clear Window sheet
Shaded Spruce and Whisper White CS
Blender Pens
Real Red Rhinestones

The Holiday catalog goes live in just 4 more days......then you too can get your hands on this wonderful bundle!

Smiles,
I'm back today with another beautiful card using the Banded Together bundle. This time I used my alcohol Blends to color the flowers and the stem. You would never think to use Pretty Peacock to color flower stems but it goes so well with the DSP that it works. I also used two different pink colors for the flowers. It's hard to tell, but I colored and cut (gasp, yes fussy cut) two sets of flowers and stems and layered them on top of each other. In person, it really gives it a 3-D look. You also can't see the Wink of Stella I added to make the flowers shimmer, but it's so pretty in person

Here is what I used to create this card:

Banded Together stamp set and dies
Oval dies
Everyday Label punch (trimmed down on the sides)
1/2" Scalloped Ribbon in Rococo Rose
Rococo Rose, Whisper White and Crumb Cake cardstock
Woven Threads DSP
Memento Black ink
Rococo Rose, Flirty Flamingo and Pretty Peacock Blends
2019-2020 In Color Faceted Dots
Wink of Stella on flowers

Go do some stamping!
Enjoy,
Can you believe Christmas is just around the corner already! I just received my pre-order from the Holiday catalog and I couldn't wait to make this 3D porject. I saw this idea months ago on a site called Kitchen Table Stamper and I couldn't wait to make it with my new Christmas stuff. The "Mug" is a ribbon pull pocket that holds a mug cake packet. Yes, this one is holding a gluten free mug cake packet (I was so excited to find these!) but you could use a regular one too. Isn't sweet! I can't wait to have everyone make one of these at the October stamp camp.

Here's what I used:

I used the new stamp set called Cup of Christmas for the greeting along with a piece of Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series paper (DSP) cut at 2 1/4" x 4 7/8"and 24"of new Garden Green 3/8" double stitched ribbon. A piece of garden green paper cut at 2 1/2" x 5 1/8" was dry embossed with the corrugated embossing folder and added under the DSP. The mug was cut from 5 3/8" x 9 3/4" piece of Real Red paper scored in half at 4 7/8" and a large double die cut circle (folded in half) handle was added. I used the large Starburst, 2" and 1 3/4" circle punches for he greeting piece. Garden Green ink was used to stamp the greeting and holly. A Real Red Blend marker was used to color the holly berries. The super cute wooden spoons were purchased from Amazon.

If you'd like learn how to make on of these along several other projects, come to my October stamp camp. Stay tuned for more information on when that will be and if you're not on my email mailing list, please contact me to be added.

Enjoy,

When I sat down to make Zach's birthday card, I really wasn't sure what I was going to make. Then it hit me...I could use the set Ride with Me to make a truck (my hubby drives a big red truck) then fill it with packages! I did use three different stamp sets to make this card, but hey that's allowed right when it's a one of a kind. The packages are from You Always Deliver set and the "20" is from Make a Difference. It's hard to tell but the "20" moves back and forth like a wiper blade. I think it turned out pretty cool and Zach really liked it!Stacey Cogswellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02168375773846696201noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8708948488388919891.post-58654426364294261852019-08-05T12:54:00.000-07:002019-08-05T12:54:08.156-07:00Bird Ballad Card Tin Class

The Bird Ballad Suite is one of suites in the new annual catalog. I just love the little birds and of course I'm a sucker for anything that has to be colored. These images can be colored beautifully with the Stampin'Up! blends or watercolor pencils. For the September class I will showing just how fun it can be. Class will include the Bird Ballad laser cut card tin with 12 cards/envelope, six sheets of 6x6 Bird Ballad designer series paper and 8 Bird Ballad trinkets (2 each of 4). I class we will transform 6 of the cards into works of art. I will also show you how to stamp a mirror image of the larger bird, but the technique can be use on any stamp! Once cards are completed, you'll still have extra supplies to create more cards at home. If you'd like more information about the class please contact me.
I've been seeing all kinds of cards created using the Stamparatus and a star like template to make what is being called the Wreath Builder Technique. So, I thought I would give it a try. I love it! Basically, you use the Stamparatus to stamp the same image in in exactly the same place on each corner of the paper. You keep stamping and turning the paper until you have a "wreath" image. I've found that this technique works better with smaller stamp images or multiple small images. I was having so much fun stamping that I continued the technique to the envelope. Yes, the word "amazing" was heat embossed and then fussy cut by hand. This card was made using several Sale-a-bration products....which are still available until the end of March!

Products used to make this card:
Card Stock: Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist and Calypso Coral
Ink: Lemon Lime Twist, Calypso Coral and VersaMark for heat embossing.
Stamp Set: Beautiful Peacock and Amazing You.....each FREE with a $50 order
DSP: Bubbles and Fizz....FREE with a $50 order
Accessories: 2" circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, gold embossing powder and white ribbon (sorry retired)
I just love fun folds so when I saw this Double Flip Fun Fold tutorial by Dawn Griffith, I knew I just had to make one. This fun fold creates a card with in a card. The first little card opens to reveal the first greeting and then the card continues to open to reveal a second greeting. I will have to admit I did change the measurements for the layers a little bit and there are a lot of layers, but it's worth it. I used the new Sale-a-bration stamp called Blossoming Basket for the basket and butterfly and the greetings are from the stamp set called Special Celebrations. I have a "three" or "triangle" rule that I try to use on every card. What does that mean? Well, it means you want to create a "triangle" of "three" places on the card with the same color. On this card I used the yellow in the flowers with the yellow ribbon and the small colored yellow flowers on the DSP. This rule helps to create a completed look on the card. Try it and see what you think. If you'd like to see the video on how to make this card, click here Youtube

Products used on the card:
Blossoming Basket stamp set (Free Sale-a-bration item)
Special Celebrations stamp set page 23 of annual catalog
Petal Passion DSP page 23 of Occasions catalog
Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double Stitched Ribbon page 198 of annual catalog
Alcohol Blends
Whisper White and Basic Black card stock
Black embossing powder and VersaMark ink
Wink-a-stella (love a little sparkle!)

Enjoy,
So, I did a little addition to my cherry pie....I added the cherry filling by coloring in the little squares with a real red marker. I was inspired by a fellow demonstrator, Erica Mccarthy Cerwin, to make this card using the new SAB Basket Weave embossing folder. As you can see, I was going for the cherry pie look. They only thing I might have done differently would be to sponge a little color on the pie to make it look "baked". I put the "slice" of pie on the inside of the card, which is fun too. Paired with the Cool Treats stamp set for the greeting, I think it turned out pretty cute!

Enjoy!
I've been having fun trying to figure out how to use all the pretty papers I made with the Brusho Crystal Colour. I've decided that it's a lot easier to use a small piece of the paper instead of covering the entire background. For this card I knew I wanted to color the shoes with the Brusho to look like denim, so I also used the Blue Brusho to create a stone washed denim looking piece of paper as well. I let very little white space, just enough to give it interest. I have a "three" rule, which means you pick a color and place it on three different places on the card. For this card, it's the silver. I placed a piece of silver paper behind the die cut stars, silver embossed the greeting and added silver embossed dots on the Brusho strip of paper. I like the "three" rule because I feel that it's more pleasing to the eye and it gives balance to the card.

Products Used to Create this Card:
As promised, I did a little more playing with the Brusho Crystal Colour and I'm much happier with the way this card turned out. I think it's because the Brusho did completely take over the paper and let some white space. Sorry the picture is a little fuzzy, but you can see the back ground pretty good. To create this look I used bubble wrap. Just sprinkle the Brusho onto the bubble warp, spritz with water and press the paper down onto the bubble wrap.

Here is another sample using similar piece of background paper. If you look close you will see differences in the background, because with Brusho no two backgrounds ever look the same. I love the red shoes with this and I think I like this even better than the panda.
