Creative Used for the Bitty Bat punch #7

Well, this is my last card (for now anyway) using the Bitty Bat punch and I'll have to say that out of all of the cards posted, this is my favorite!  This card is a little on the advanced side and it uses a little twist for the normal use of a punch......can you see it?

What do you think....isn't this a fun card!  I love the little animals and the way the scene looks as if they have just raided the pumpkin patch.

Products used to create this Card:

Stamp set: Under the Stars (11556 wood $29.95) Teeny Tiny Wishes (11530 wood $36.95)
Card Stock: Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Ivory, Daffidil Delight and Water color paper.
Ink: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, White craft and Black Stazon.
Accessories: Big Shot with Polk-a-dots embossing folder, Top Note die, Swirls Scribbles Sizzlit, all the Oval punches, 1 3/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1/2" circle punch, Bitty Bat punch, Modern Label punch, brads, Brayer, Vanilla Shimmer/Log Cabin Smooch Spritz, Aqua Painter and a sponge dauber.

I brayered the Top Note cut out with Night of Navy ink and then spritzed it with Vanilla snooch spritz to create the "stars".  I cut out a top note in Crumb Cake and tore off part of it. I then inked the edges and spritzed it with the Log Cabin Smooch Spritz. After embossing the base of the card, I used white craft ink and a sponge dauber to highlight the dots, again to create "stars".   The animals were water colored and cut out.
Answer: The pumpkins were created by pushing the Bitty Bat punch into a sheet of card stock as far as it will go and then punching. Next push the selected circle/oval punch as far as it will go over were you just punched the bat.  Punch.  Continue this with each of the circle/oval punches.  Layer them and you have a pumpkin!  I hope this makes sense.....if not maybe we'll just have to have a class!

Smiles,
Stacey

CCAT #3 Challenge: Style a While!

Today, I thought I would take a little break for the Bitty Bat punch and show you my next CraftyCatwalk
challenge card.  I started out with an idea for this card, but my end result was not what I had in mind.  It's sometimes fun to just let your creativity go the direction it wants to go! You have until September 30th to download a card of your own to the CraftyCatwalk, so come on, why not give it a try for yourself!

I used clear Versamark ink and silver embossing powder to create both the background design and the birds.  Enjoy and I would love to see you play along with the challenge.  It's really fun!

Creative Use for the New Bitty Bat Punch #1

New Bitty Bat Punch by Stampin'Up!
Stampin'Up! introduced several new punches this year and one of them is the Bitty Bat punch.  At first, I thought why would I want to buy a bat punch, after all I'm not a huge fan of Halloween, but I knew there had to be more you could do with it than just a bat.  So, in the next few posts I will be showing you what I came up with.....maybe, just maybe you too will be thinking differently about this Bitty Bat punch!

Let's start with the obvious.......a simple bat!

He's pretty cute and it's hard to tell from this photo, but he's suspended on a wire to make him look like he's flying past the autumn moon.  I used several punches to complete this card.  Can you figure out which ones?
(Scroll to the end of this post for the answer)  See you on Friday for another creative card using the bat punch.

Hope you like it.
Smiles,
Stacey
