Create A Cupcake! March 2011 Stamp Camp Project #3

For the last March stamp camp project, we again will be using the Petal Cone die to create a hanging cone basket (or if you like a box) with matching card.  The card and cone will feature the new stamp set Create a Cupcake for the Occasions mini catalog.  This set is so much fun especially if you pair it with the new Build a Cupcake punch.  This great punch allows you to punch out the cupcake paper, the frosting, the candle and even the top cherry!  I can't wait to show you!

Eat Chocolate! March Stamp Camp Project #2

The fun continues with this great little take out box waiting to be filled with your favorite chocolate.  I've used the Petal Cone Die again, but this time I've scored and folded the point of the die cut pieces to create a smaller box.  Stamp all over it "so much Chocolate, so little time" and add a ribbon with the "To Do" list attached and you have another great project.  Couple it with a matching card and I've just created the perfect gift set for any chocolate lover in your life.

The New Petal Cone Die! March Stamp Camp Project #1

I'm so excited about the new Petal Cone Die!  At first look, you would think it's just a simple shaped box die, but I've discovered it can be so many more things.  Not just different boxes, but it can be used to create baskets, pouches and even cards!  How cool it that!  For my first March stamp camp project, I've going to show you how to make it into a party hat box and a very cool embedded matching card.

Isn't this fantastic!  Just think about how much fun it would be to give this card and box to someone special on their birthday!  I created the party hat box by simply texturizing the die cut pieces with polka dots, decorating the sides, turning the box over and adding a tassel to the point.
The card was created using a easy technique called Embedding.  The "paper" is created by gluing layering punched circles in a random pattern to a piece of cardstock, then running the card stock through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice textured impressions folder.  This technique is really neat looking in person and it creates unique looking piece of paper that could be made with almost any punch.  I used the free sale-a-bration set "So Happy for You" for the perfect festive greeting.

PRODUCTS USED TO MAKE THESE PROJECTS:

Stamp Set: So Happy for You (a free Sale-a-bration set)
Card Stock: Real Red, Pacific Point, Old Olive and Bashful Blue
Ink: Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Celebrations
Accessories: Big Shot with Petal Cone Die, Squared Lattice and Perfect Polka dots Impressions folders. Various circle punches, silver brads and white embossing powder/heat tool.

Enjoy,
Stacey

February 2011 Stamp Camp Project #4

Well, I finally had time thing weekend to finish the last project for the February stamp camp in between making birthday cards, Valentine's Day cards, shopping and celebrating my hubby's birthday. I thought for this card I would try the "vintage" look for a change of pace, so here it is:

Open view to show the fancy fold.

This card features the Sale-a-bration stamp set "Bliss" and I used the distressing kit to make it look a little aged.  I'm not a huge fan of this look, but will have to say this turned out pretty nice.  I also used my color coach to come up with the color combination, something I wouldn't have come up with on my own.  Who knew these colors would look this good together!  A little pearl on the butterfly head makes the perfect finishing touch.

Products used to make this card:

Stamp set: Bliss (SAB set)
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red, So Saffron and Soft Suede.
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: 1 3/4" and 1 3/8" Circle punches. Basic pearls, Riding Hood ribbon (retired) and the Distress kit.

Enjoy,
Stacey

This third stamp camp project is a quick and easy bookmark and no camp called "Fluttering Wings" would be complete with out this cute stamp set. I think you will really enjoy this one! The sweet greeting and the bright butterfly will have ready for Spring.  This project will also give a chance use the stamp-ma-jig and learn how to make a perfect stamped image every time.   To make this book mark last forever and protect your fabulous art work, I will provide a clear sleeve....what could be better than that!

February Stamp Camp Project #2

Lately I've really taken an interested in the more realistic stamp images and I just fell in love with the new stamp set, Nature Walk, in the Occasions mini catalog.  I think has all kinds of possibilities from fun to serious cards.  I've come up with a very simple card that uses only one color of ink and 2 colors of paper.  No ribbon or thrills, but what makes in stand out is the fancy fold in the center on the card front.  It's also a little on the masculine side, which I've had many request for in the past few months.  Hope you like it.

February Stamp Camp Project #1

A friend of mine has a theme for every camp she offers, so I thought it would be fun to give this a try as well. So the theme for this camp will be "Fancy Folds and Fluttering Wings."  Every project will have a new unique fold to add exciting interest to the card front and either a bird or butterfly.  Will be making 2 of 3 card designs and a really fun book mark.  Here is the first project:
