Spot Lighting

I made this card a little while ago for a color challenge, but decided to submit an entirely different card.  Spotlighting is a fun, simply technique that gives you great results. Just stamp the image twice (in my case, I stamped it with Versamark ink and embossed it with black embossing powder), then punch out an area that you wanted to spotlight, color it and place it over the same area of the first image.  Very simple, but yet it looks like you spent hours creating it!  Add so ribbon and you've got a very elegant card really for giving.  But don't limit yourself to just elegant floral cards, give this technique a try with any stamp set and see what happens!

Products used to create this card:
Stamp set: Elements of Style (118611 wood $27.95 or 120045 clear $19.95)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Versamark, Pretty in Pink and Old Olive
Accessories: Black Embossing powder, Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon, 1 3/8" circle punch,1 1/4" circle punch, hand held slot punch (sorry not Stampin'Up!) and a blender pen.

Enjoy!
Stacey
