This is the last card I submitted for the card contest.  It features the very cool technique of Spirelli.  The flower was created with three stair step layers all sponged and wrapped with gold thread.  The largest layer was created by first punches out a scallop circle, then placing this punched circle back into the punch and punching it again.  This creates more "petals" to wrap your thread around.  The second layer was crated in the same way except I used the square scallop punch....yes, the square scallop!

Hope you like this new technique and will give it a try yourself.

  1. What a fun technique! It's very eye-catching, and pretty.
