March Stamp Camp Projects

Hello Everyone!  Wow....time just seems to be flying by these days and since stamp camp is just about a week away, on March 16th form 6-10 pm, I'm going to keep this short and sweet.  This month the projects are a little different in that each of them have something special and each could be used as a mini gift!  You've got pretty wrapped chocolates (you get to make 2!), a mini scrapbook purse made from 3x3 envelopes, a Get Well box filled with a package of tissues, a "cup" of soup, cough drops and chocolate filled medicine bottle and lastly a fun card with a real pick me up that included a "cup" of Starbucks coffee.  On this card I will be showing you how to use the new diagonal score plate and bits of designer paper to create a easy detailed card.

This is the third stamp camp project featuring the Sale-a-bration stamp sets Fresh Vintage (flowers) and Kindess Matters (greeting) and the designer series paper Everyday Enchantment.   This is an easy card to create; stamp, adhere paper/ribbon, stamp/punch of a greeting, add a couple rhinestones and your done! Easy to make, but gives impressive results.  Don't you just love card that look like you slaved over them when really they took only a matter on minutes to create?  Seriously, I made this card in less than 10 minutes!  Come to camp and it will be even quicker now that I know all the tricks to teach you.

February Stamp Camp Projects #1 and #2

I just love Sale-a-bration not only because you can earn stamp sets for free, but stamp sets offered during this time are amazing!  Two of my favorites this year are Fresh Vintage and Elementary Elegance.  Add these to the great Designer Series Paper and ribbon and you've got some great projects. 

For the February stamp camp on the 24th, I thought it would be fun to show you several different ways to use the same stamp set.  I have two projects completed using the Fresh Vintage stamp set, that I will show you today.  Stay tuned for one more.

This card is super easy, but fun!  I thought I would show you two versions, one easy and one stepped up just a little. The first version is make with just punches the second version is stepped up by adding same faux stitching and a little fancy cutting. You can decide which one you would like to make at camp.

I have all kinds of books with all kinds of markers, from post-it notes to little scraps of paper.  I love book marks, but never seem to have enough.  So, when I saw a version on this project, I thought it would be just the right answer to my book mark trouble.  It's super quick and easy to make and I think you'll like it too!

Quick Card: Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek

Here is a quick, but yet classy card featuring the stamp set "Fresh Vintage" from the upcoming Sale-a-bration catalog.  I saw the original design for this card on Mary Fish's blog and loved the color block look.  I used the 1 1/4" square punch to quickly punch out all the of the background squares and then arranged them on a piece of Crumb Cake paper, (which will be trimmed down later), leaving just a little space around all the blocks. (Note: No square is needed in the center)  The next layer is a 2 1/2"x 2 1/2" square with a 2"x2" white square in the middle.  Stamp the flowers, punch out with circle punches and layer with a punched scalloped circle (here I used a scrap of designer series paper.)  Cut a 1" strip of paper for the banner, stamp/heat emboss greeting and then use the corner of the square punch to create the end "flag" points.  Trim other end to fit the card, adhere and add flower over the top with dimentionals.  Add three little mini brads and you're done!

January 2012 Stamp Camp: Final Project

Here is the last project for the January 2012 stamp camp.  I love the way this project turned out....better than I had imaged it could!  It's a magnetic Post-it pad holder with a calender.  The cool part is that the Post-it pad is just held on with the clip, so when you run out....just add another pad.  This project is a sneak peek at some of the products you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-bration which begins on the 24th of January.  Designer Series paper, Ribbon and Brads that all coordinate, plus a stamp set too!  Hope you like it.

This fun project set was created using a new stamp set from the mini Occasions catalog called "P.S. I Love You" and scented embossing powder.  That's right....scented! It really smells great, in this case like fresh cherries.  The candy pocket was created using the Petite Pocket Die and it's the perfect size to hold a super sweet treat!

This sweet card features the new stamp set for the mini Occasion catalog called "Take It to Heart" and "loving Thoughts".  Both sets works wonderfully together to create an elegant Valentine's card.  You'll also get the chance to try out the new Framelit Hearts Collection dies to cut out the heart shaped image.

This super easy View Master card is interactive!  Turn the wheel to reveal eight conversation hearts within the opening.  This card features the single new stamp set called "Candy Conversations".  You may be wondering how I could have used a single stamp to create each single image.  Well here's a hint, I didn't use the masking technique.  Come to camp and see how you can turn your wood mount stamps in to clear cling stamps with use of our clear mount foam.  You'll never look at you wood mount stamps the same way again!
 
The last project; a Post-it note holder and calendar isn't yet finished, but it will be soon!  It's really cute and it will feature several of the FREE Sale-a-bration items available to you in January.
