MOJO 257 Sketch card

I love the Mojo Monday sketches, but I don't always get around to using the ideas right away.  Sometimes it's weeks after the sketch was first introduced, but not this week.  I actually got a card created!  I'm getting ready for a class using the Ghoulish Googlies Designer kit and I had a couple elements left over, so I thought it would be fun to make a card to show the class guests how these elements could be used in another way.  This sketch was perfect for what I had in mind.

So, what do you think?  I used orange designer series paper from the paper pack Polka Dot Parade (page 164), Lucky Limeade cardstock which I dry embossed with the new Chevron Folder and the printed oval tag element from the Ghoulish Googlies Designer kit (page 27 Holiday mini).  I them stamp the mummy, from the Googly Ghouls stamp set, onto the tag (heat embossed it in black) and stamped/cut out a few bats.  The greeting "BOOOO" was stamped and punched out with the Modern Label punch.  The spooky clouds (center panel) were created by using a scalloped mask and sponging black ink onto the gray paper. I also sponged a little black ink over the chevrons to darken them up.  Have you seen the new 1/2" striped satin ribbon (page 26) in the mini Holiday?  I love it!  For my card I used two pieces side by side.  The teeny tiny little black dots in the upper right hand corner were created by covering our basic pearls with black Stazon ink.  Do you like this card?  Stampin'Up! came up with something really cool this year.....Bundles!  If you like the Ghoulish Googlies Designer kit and the Googly Ghouls stamp set, you can now get them together at a discount.  For the clear-mount bundle it's only $16.95, that's a 15% discount.  Pretty cool!

Hope you give a Mojo Monday sketch, maybe even this one, a try!  I'd love to see what you come up with.

Smiles,
Stacey

    1. Thank you. The spooky clouds are super easy to create. Just create a wavy mask with a post-it note and cover all but a small part of the paper you want clouds on. Them sponge(in using the ink of choice) over the post-it onto the paper. Move the mask down, sponge again and repeat until the paper is covered. Hope you'll give it a try!
