Life is Beautiful

Irish Lake, Oregon
September 13-15, 2010

I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile, but I've been out on several camping trips this fall with my family and it's put my posting a little behind. At any rate, I thought I would share with you some great pictures. Our first trip was to Irish and Taylor lakes. We all had a wonderful time and will have to say it was one of the best camping trips I've ever had, despite the fact that I had to walk for 5 miles to get to the camp ground!  Not only did I get to witness this amazing sunset, but I met a gentleman that helped fix my back. For those of you that don't know me, I've had back surgery and trouble with my back for years. I've been scared to have anyone touch it in fear that it might make it worse.  But after my "encounter" in the woods, my back hasn't felt this good in 5 years! I will have to tell you the story sometime, but for now let me tell you that I think he might have been an angel.  Michael (angel's name?) was there and then he was gone.  He said he would call me when he got back to town, but I've never heard from him. Humm...what do you think?  You never know, right?

Our second camping trip was up the McKenzie river at the Paradise camp ground.  Marc's brother and our nephew flew up from California to join in the fun.  Friday was beautiful, but by Saturday the rain was really coming down. I'm not one to be afraid of a little rain, so I went for several walks. On the path I began to take pictures of all the different kinds of mushrooms.  There were white, pink, yellow and purple ones, big ones and petite ones, bumpy ones and ones with ruffles.  They were all amazing looking!  They even looked yummy, but I wasn't brave enough to give any of them a taste!  By Saturday the rain was too much for the rest of the group and we packed up and went home.   We still had a great visit and are hoping that the rain won't keep them from coming back next Fall.
