Amazing Convention Swaps

I received a ton of amazing swaps at convention this year.  It was the first time I participated in an organized swap and I will have to say I think it's the way to go.  The quality of swaps was wonderful with every card being one I could use in a class.  I saved some of my most favorites ones to show you later, I might even copy them for a future stamp camp!

Enjoy,
Stacey

Watch the theme song video, it pretty catchy!

Every Stampin'Up! convention has a theme and the year's theme was "i am....."
We were to fill in the blank with what fit us.  I am a wife, a mother, a daugther, a sister, a friend, but after thinking about all those things and everything I have in my life, I decided the most of all....

I am Blessed!

Stacey

Name Dropping

At the Stampin'Up! convention, between all the swapping and what not, we had the opportunity to attend some amazing classes plus general session. Jason Dorey started us off. He studies the different generations and what makes each one different from the others. It was a little unnerving to find out I'm in generation "X" but act more like a "Baby Boomer!" At the ensd of our classes we were told that if we went on facebook and mentioned names we might have the chance to win a free stamp set, so bare with me. (If you don't know this already, an addicted stamper will do just about anything for a free stamp set!)
Here goes:

Brian Pilling/I am a Leader
Emily Montoya/I am Reaching Out
Pam Morgan/I am making Money
Shannon West /I am Having Fun (This class was really fun, I even learned some new dance moves.)

My most favorite classes were with Carrie Cutney/I am open for Business and Bonnie Thurber/I am doing Business "My Way." Both of these ladies are so much fun to listen to and I really learned alot. Wish me luck that I win that free stamp set!

Smiles,
Stacey

Beautiful Convention Swaps!

This year at the Stampin'Up! convention for the first time I participated in two organized swaps.  What that means is that the swaps have to meet certain quality standards, not just a general swap.  The result of an organized swap......beautiful cards!  This one was one that my friend received, which was in the same swap, but a different group.  Isn't just amazing!  It uses the emboss resist technique with ink sponging.
Enjoy and check back over the next couple of days for more card swap pictures.

Stampin'Up! Convention 2012

I'm back from four fun filled days of the Stampin'Up! Convention!  We stamped, we chatted with old friends, made new friends, we celebrated, we laughed and of course we swapped!  It's the best Stampin'Up! event of the year!  3,500 demonstrators from around the United States all gathered to soak in the excitement.  I took tons of pictures on al the display boards, but for some reason I didn't take very many pictures of my friends.  I guess we having just too fun to stop and take a picture.  We did get a picture with our favorite Momento Mall checker....he was the best!  We all came home we more free fabric in our suitcases than we know what to do with!
