Happy 50th Birthday

I made this super fun card for my brother's 50th birthday.  He lives in California, so since I wasn't able to hand deliver his card, I thought it would be fun to design the card so it would fit into a CD envelope....this way the card would show through the clear window.

Card Ingredients:
Stamp set: Memorable Moments (pg.139)
Paper: Garden Green, Night of Navy and Whisper White
DSP: I used strips of printed paper to cover the front of the card, sorry this paper is retired, but any paper could work.
Ink: Garden Green and Night of Navy
Accessories: Big Shot with Label Collection Framelits and ribbon

Smiles,
Stacey

Christmas Zentangle

As some of you know I love the art of Zentangle, which is usually done in black and white, but I thought I would try my hand at making a design with color.  Here's was I came up with:
Created by Stacey Cogswell
For this card, I used a stencil for the main shape and then tangled the design.  Next, I added the color and some gold accents.  A little ribbon, a stamped greeting and wha-la.....not too bad for my first attempt!

Stacey

Happy New Year!

Wow, I don't know where the time goes.....it's been almost two months since I've posted anything!  If you are reading this, THANK YOU!  I would have deleted myself from my favorites list a long time ago, so I really appreciate that you're still hanging in here with me.  As we start a new year, I decided to make a New Year Resolution.  I don't ever really make resolutions, because I think is kind of silly to wait until a new year to start something, but this year I've decided I'm going to give it a try.  As you can see (or not see!), posting everyday is really hard for me so, I've decided I'm going to try really hard to post at least once a week, like every Monday morning. I will start this on Monday the 7th, but since today is Friday and I completely missed the entire month December, I thought I would show you a few thing I made for Christmas.

I made these fun little snowmen as gifts for my December stamp campers.  They are made using a battery operated tea light.  Aren't they super cute?  I got the idea from Becky at Inking Idaho. Check out her site for all the details on how to make these adorable snowmen with the box and then let your imagination run wild.  How about a reindeer, an elf or a Santa with a really big nose?

Enjoy!
