Brusho paper card #2

Created by Stacey Cogswell
Copyright Stampin'Up!

As promised, I did a little more playing with the Brusho Crystal Colour and I'm much happier with the way this card turned out. I think it's because the Brusho did completely take over the paper and let some white space. Sorry the picture is a little fuzzy, but you can see the back ground pretty good. To create this look I used bubble wrap. Just sprinkle the Brusho onto the bubble warp, spritz with water and press the paper down onto the bubble wrap.

Here is another sample using similar piece of background paper. If you look close you will see differences in the background, because with Brusho no two backgrounds ever look the same. I love the red shoes with this and I think I like this even better than the panda.

Supplies used to create these cards:
Stamp sets: Party Panda and Epic Celebrations. Both Sale-a-brations sets, which are free with a $50 order.
Card Stock: Real Red, Whisper White and Water Color Paper.
Ink: Brusho Crystal Colour, Real Red and Black
Accessories: Layering Oval Framelts, Balloon punch, Banner punch, White Gel pen and Tutti-Frutti Sequins.

Hope this will inspire you to keep playing with the Brusho colour and I will have one more card for you in the coming days.

Enjoy!
Stacey

February Stamp Camp: Let's get Moving!

Looks at all the beautiful cards we will be creating at the February stamp camp. These card a special because all of them are interactive: A barn door that slides, a butterfly the appears to flutter and birthday card that springs open to fling confetti! You're just going to love how much fun these cards are to make let alone give. The precipitants won't be able to put them down! All of these cards use new products from either 2018 Annual or Occasions catalogs.

Barn Door Card:
This card is really fun to slide the door back and forth. It also allows for a greeting on the inside of the card as well as the two on the outside.

Card meets matching Shoes!

Card Created by Stacey Cogswell

My friend received her card today and I just love the photo she took with her matching shoes! This is the best part about being a Stampin'Up! demonstrator.....being able to make personalized cards and the joy it brings to the giver and receiver!

Brusho paper sample #1

I played with my new Brusho Crystal Colour until my fingers were every color under the sun. For this card, I sprinkled the Brusho on to an open embossing folder, spritzed it with water (too much water I think), adding the water color paper face down and then ran it through the Big Shot.  It's pretty cool how the color bleeds and blends together to create all kinds of color, but it I had not added so much water there may have been a few white spaces left open. I think I will have to do a little more experimenting with the technique.

Stamp cutting

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night thinking about a card? Well, I have and this is what I was thinking about. I love all the little critters in the We Must Celebrate stamp set, but I didn't like that they were all attached to each other. So...I did something I rarely do...I cut them apart...gasp!! I know it's really hard to think about doing this, but oh the possibilities it opens up.  Now I can stamp which ever critter I want anywhere I want with out have to mask or cut them out.
We Must Celebrate stamp by Stampin'Up!

Look how cute this card turned out! I did use the masking technique to "stack" the critters on top of each other, which was super easy. I think the inside turned out even cuter than the front with the critters peeking out.

Supplies Used to Create this Card:
Stamp Set: We Must Celebrate
Paper: Bermuda Bay and Whisper White
Ink; Momento Black and Blends
Accessories: Clear Rhinestones

Hope this inspires you to do some stamp cutting today...just don't get to crazy!

Brusho effects

Have you seen the new product on page 26 of the Occasion catalog called Brusho Crystal Color?  It's super concentrated ink pigment that is activated with water. You get 5 colors, red, yellow, orange, greed and blue. You can paint with it, sprinkle it, use on bubble wrap or embossing folders. The possibilities are endless. All you need is paper, a spray bottle with water and a few things you've probably got laying around. So, last night I rounded up everything and started playing. It can be a little messy, so if you don't want multi-colored fingers, you might want a pair of glues as well.  For these samples, I used large bubble wrap (1"bubbles). Just sprinkle a little Brusho on the dry bubble wrap, spritz with water, lay the paper face down on the wrap and lightly press. You'll never get the same effect twice, but it's so cool. The light blue sample is made with the bubble wrap inflated, then on the other two I popped the wrap and press the paper into the color that was pooling around the popped bubbles.  I will share some more samples in the up coming days and if you're interested in trying it for your self, just click the "Shop" button above or leave me a message.

Tie Dye Shoes

I have a friend and fellow demonstrator, Missy Shipman, that loves fun shoes, so when she received a pair of tie dye Converse shoes for Christmas, I just knew I had to make her a matching card. I didn't have any matching DSP, so I colored a piece of Petal Passion DSP. I stamped/embossed the shoes on water color paper and then water colored them with ink. I love the way it turned out!

Supplies used to make this card:
Stamp Set: Epic Celebration. Free with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration
Paper: Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and Water Color paper
DSP: Petal Passion
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point
Accessories: VersaMark, Black Embossing powder and Aqua Painter

Fun Phone Case

Marc found this cool clear phone case for me for Christmas. I love the way my first insert turned out. The Blends made it easy to color the Petal Passion DSP. I don't think the picture really does it justice, it's actually very pretty in person. I can't wait to make a few more inserts, maybe even one for every season/holiday. The possibilities are endless with all the amazing paper Stampin'Up! carries.

Beautiful Peacocks

Inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Julie Davison, I created this using a free Sale-a-bration stamp set.I didn't have any DSP with the needed colors, so I created my own by adding tiny Pacific Point flowers (stamp in the set) to the Fresh Florals DSP.  It's hard to see, but I stamped the Lemon Lime Twist CS with the other tail feather stamp using VersaMark. I added tiny rhinestones and ribbon for the final finishing touches. I can't decide if I like the one with the bow or not. Which one do you like better?

Stamp Set: Beautiful Peacock. Free with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration
Card stock: Lemon Lime Twist, Pacific Point and Whisper White.
Ink: Pacific Point, Lemon Lime Twist and VersaMark
Accessories: 1/4" stitched edge ribbon in Pacific Point, Rhinestones
