Silly Cat

Long story, but the simple version is that I had a decorative rock sitting on a shelf above the toilet and I think my hubby was playing his music just a little too load and it rattled off......anyway, I didn't realize it was in there when I flushed the toilet.  So, since we've been having trouble with it for years any way and now we had a rock stuck in it ,we decided it was time for a new one.  While we were getting everything ready and out of the boxes, our cat Oreo decided it was his new sleeping spot.  We had a aweful time getting him out of it.   Hopefully he doesn't try this whenit's full of water!

Simple Sympathy Card

Today's card was made for a fellow demonstrator from Utah that is currently living in the hospital while she undergoes treatment for cancer.  I don't know her personally, but I feel connectled to her through Stampin'Up!  I made her this card to cheer her up and to let her know that things will ger better.
This card was made using the designer series paper Paisley Petals (122367), River Rock card stock and the stamp set Blessings from Heaven.  It is a very simple card, but yet beautiful.  The one amazing thing about this card is the color combination.  I would have never thought of it on my own and that's why the catalog is so handy to have next to you when your creating.  Each of the designer papers has a list of the coordinating colors of card stock (page 185 in the 2011-2012 catalog).  This list is SO helpful!  In the case of this card, it really helped me pull out the River Rock color from the centers of the flowers and tie everything together.

Hope you like it and will challenge your self to use the colors listed with the designer paper.

Stacey

Bi-Fold Mother's Day Card

This card was a custome order card for a customer of mine.  She wanted a special card to give to her daughter this year because it's her first Mother's Day.  I feel very honored that one of my card will be used for such a special occasion.  I used designer paper for the mini occasion catalog as well as ribbon and buttons.  I couldn't find a current Mother's Day stamp that was the right size for the card design, so I had to turn to my retired stamps.  I think it turned out very pretty.  The inside of the card and the envelope turned out great too!

Little Birthday Gift

Today, I thought I would share one for little purse project with you.  I made this fun little purse filled with chocolates and matching 3x3 card for my friends birthday.  I turned out super cute and I was excited to give it to her.  Sometimes it's not about now big the gift is, but how much thought you put into it.

 Happy Birthday Jessica!
