July Stamp Camp Projects

Well, I know I'm running a little behind on getting these pictures posted (convention through my schedule off just a teeny tiny bit), but I think your going to enjoy making them at camp.  All of the cards for this months camp either features a new In Color, New Stamp Set or both.  With so many choices of new stamp sets it was really hard to pick which ones to start with, but these were among some of my favorites.  One card it's quite finished yet because I had some much stuff from convention I couldn't fit it all in my suitcase, so I had to ship a box home and it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow.  I will post a picture as soon as I can. So with any more delay.....here they are!  (Please keep in mind that the cards are so much prettier in person!)

You've already seen this card in an earlier post.  It was one of my favorite convention swaps, so I thought I would share with you as well.  It features the new A la Carte stamp "Triple Treat Flower".  This stamp is so cool because you can use three different punches to create three different flowers.  I've heat embossed this flower with the new Melon Mambo embossing powder for an extra little touch.  The card also has a fun way that it opens, but you'll have to come to camp to see just how!

This next card features the new stamp set "Field Flowers" and two of our new In Color card stock papers Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeaide.  I just love the natural feel of this card paired with the Newsprint designer series paper.  The torn edges, lace trim and pearls complete the antique feel.

Have you ever thought about some of the large image background stamps and wondered....What in the world would I do with that?  I've thought that many times and to be honest it's kept me from buying them, but when I saw all the wonderful cards made with the "Hello, Doily" card I was instantly in love!  So much so that I purchased it from a fellow demonstrator at convention whom had earned an extra one as a reward.  I paired it again with the "Triple Treat Flower", so I could show you the two additional ways to punch out flowers. The two of these stamps together plus the combination of Concord Crush, the new In Color Wisteria Wonder paper and Vanilla Shimmer smooch spritz makes a beautiful, yet easy card.
The last card, like I said isn't finished just yet, but it's pretty cool. It will feature the new stamp set "Easy Elements" and the new designer series paper "Just Add Cake".  The front element is removable to used as a bookmark!  How cool is that... a card and gift all in one!

Stamp Camp will be on Tuesday July 26th from 1:00-4:00 and Friday July 29th from 6:00-10:00 pm.  The cost is as follows:

4 cards with envelopes for $10.00 (all card stock is cut/scored prepared, plus all the supplies provided to complete the projects)
Free with a $25.00 order. If you haven't already picked up a new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog, you'll earn one for Free with a $25.00 order!
Order additional sets for cards to be completed at home for only $5.00

Everyone receives a gift from me and a chance to win a great prize!

Registration deadline payment is Monday July 26th.

If you would like to come to camp, please let me know as soon as possible.  You can call me or contact me through my Stampin'Up! website.

Stacey

A Beautiful Image

I had to take moment to brag about my hubby.  He's an amazing photographer of nature and here is just one of his latest images.  He was able capture a hummingbird taking a little rest on my red tropical flowers!  Not too bad considering he took this picture through the dining room window!

Stampin'Up! 2011 Convention Hightlight Video

I'm back from convention and my head is spinning with ideas!  I can't wait to share them all with you, but first I will have to unpack and get caught up on my sleep! To sum it up.....I had a wonderful time at this years Stampin'Up convention!  Words could never discribe the flurry of activities, stamping, swaps, free stamps and just plain fun!  So I'm going to attempt something I've never done before.....I'm adding a link to the Stampin'Up! YouTube video site so you can see for yourself how exciting convention really is.  Each year convention has a theme (complete with a theme song)....this year's theme was GROW.  Each day the displays "grew" a little more than the last and it was really fun to see something new each day.   I hope you will watch just to see a little glimpse of why I love going to convention and why I love being a Stampin'Up demonstrator!  Maybe some of you will even think about joining me next year! Convention Friend Gifts

The Stampin'Up Convention is always so much fun for me.  I get to see so many new ideas and gather tons of information, but the best part is spending time with friends. Some of these friends I only get to see at convention, so I always like to make them something special.  This what I came up with this year.  The card layout is the same as the last post, but this time I used fabric to create one of the background and the flower.  The flowers is super fun to create and I used the Big Shot to help me do it.  The best part is the flower comes off, so you can clip it anywhere....maybe even in your hair!  If you want to see how to make the flower and card, I got the idea from Jill Olsen.  Visit her blog to watch a step by step video.  I think this would be a fun card to do at camp as well.....what do you think?

The little goodie bag was created using these great little bags I found at a bakery that was going out of business.
I decorated the out side with paper and fabric then stamped a greeting on the see through window using white Stazon ink.  The came the fun part...filling each bag with goodies.  My friend/convention room mate loves to sew, so I made a matching fabric pin cushion.  My other two friends love chocolate, so there bags were filled with yummy chocolate.  I can't wait to get to convention and give them there gifts!

Convention Card Swap #3

Created by Stacey Cogswell
Copyright Stampin'Up!

This was a really fun card to create.  It has lots of layers, which I love the look of.  Its hard to see, but each layer has either texture or a stamped background.  I also like the way the two tone colors don't distract the eye when looking at the card.  The flower was created by heat embossing the stamped image (Triple Treat Flower Stamp) on the lighter color of paper.  The pink card uses Melon Mambo and the orange card uses Tangerine Tango embossing powders.  Again I used the Well Penned stamp set for the greeting.
The best part is how the card opens, but you'll have to wait until the July camp is see how it works. Yes, we're going to create this card, in pink, at the July camp.  Can't wait!

Enjoy!

Convention Card Swap #2

I had a bunch of these card pieces cut out from a camp I held over a year ago, so I thought this would be a great time to use them.  I used the stamp sets "Upsy Daisy" to create the flowers and the greeting.  Several punches were also used to create the border and behind the greeting.  Super easy.

Convention Card Swap #1

I learned a new technique called Zentangle from my friend Pat and I love the way it looks.  Really it's just a fancy way to doodle, but it looks so cool when you combine all your doodles in one spot.  Of course I had to figure out a way to incorporate stamping, so I used the stamp set Circle Circus to create the middle flower image and tangled around the edge.  For the greeting I used the new stamp set Well Penned, which I love.  I hope the ladies at convention like it, because I made 20 of them!
